Monni started with a simple frustration: clothes that look good for one season and fall apart by the third.

We work with a small number of mills in New Zealand and Italy, and we buy cloth in quantities we can finish. That means a sold-out run is genuinely gone, not deliberately withheld. It also means we can tell you where a garment was made and what it is made of, without checking a database first.

Everything is cut and sewn in Wellington. We release two collections a year, and we would rather improve last year’s coat than replace it.
